Mr Imran calls for the early completion of the Kartarpur corridor project


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan was commissioned on Thursday to complete the construction of the Kartapur Corridor on time.

In today's Islamic Republic Declaration, the Prime Minister has commissioned the Frontier Project Organization (FWO) to ensure timely completion of the project on the Pakistani side of the border.

According to the development launched on 2 February, the construction work for the first phase of the Kartarpur Corridor project was 45% complete.

On Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, a delegation from Pakistan, will come to New Delhi on March 14 for talks in the Kartarpur corridor.

The FO spokesman sent the draft to the Indian Indian High Commissioner, who was called to the Foreign Ministry today, the official statement said.

He said the Pakistani delegation would visit New Delhi on March 14, followed by a visit by the Indian delegation to Islamabad on March 28 to discuss the draft agreement on the Kartarpur corridor.
Prime Minister Khan put the cornerstone on the Kartarpur corridor on 28 November 2018 to connect Gurdwara Darbar Sahib to Pakistan with the Indian district of Gurdaspur.

Former Indian cricket and member of the Cabinet of Punjab Navjot Singh Sidhu and other ministers of India were also present on this occasion.

A group of Indian journalists and international media were also present to report the unprecedented event.
