The LHC judge refuses to hear the request for a rebate against Prime Minister Imran


LAHORE: A petition requesting the ban on Prime Minister Imran Khan as a member of the National Assembly was referred to the Supreme Court of the Supreme Court (LHC) after Justice Shahid Waheed denied the case.

Judge Mamoon Rashid Sheikh and Judge Shahid Waheed examined the petition demanding that the Prime Minister's rebate be removed from the fact that he was not "sadiq and amen" under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.

When the hearing began, Justice Waheed refused to continue the case, after which he was referred to the LHC chief of the judiciary for correction before another hearing.

Pakistan's Mudassar Chaudhry for Justice and Democratic Party had challenged NA-131's election of Prime Minister Khan, who blamed him for hiding compulsory details about his sons and alleged daughter in their candidacy papers.

According to Article 60 (2) (d) of the Electoral Law of 2017, a candidate must file a declaration of assets and his or her spouse and dependent children, he said. However, he added that Imran Khan did not reveal these details, including that of the "daughter" Tyrian White.

The petitioner claimed that Khan was not qualified to perform his duties under Article 62 (1) (d), (e) and (f) and Article 63 (1) (o) and (p) of the Constitution and claimed that he had been excluded from the MNA.
